Court support, by your side
Navigating court proceedings without legal representation can feel overwhelming. Big Building Foundation offers a professional Mackenzie Friend service — providing you with a knowledgeable, calm presence in court so that you never have to face proceedings alone.
A Mackenzie Friend is a person who accompanies an individual to court to offer quiet assistance, help organise documents, take notes, and provide moral support. While a Mackenzie Friend cannot speak on your behalf in court, their presence can make a significant difference to how prepared and supported you feel throughout the process.
We provide this service in both the Family Court and the Magistrates' Court — two of the settings where people most commonly find themselves representing themselves without a solicitor.
Whether you are dealing with child arrangements, financial proceedings, domestic abuse-related hearings, or other matters, our Mackenzie Friend service ensures you have someone knowledgeable and supportive with you every step of the way.
